Carlos Cascante

Biography

Carlos Cascante is a native of Costa Rica. He moved to the US in 1995 and started his professional musical career in 2005 when he and Musical Director, Julio Jauregui, formed a six piece group under the name of Carlos Cascante Y Su Tumbao. After the release of his first Album “Recuerdos” in 2005 Carlos followed with a second album titled “Hablando Enserio” in 2011.

Some of his collaborations include the 2006 “9 Dias De Rumba” album that was produced by Colombian percussionist, Diego Gale, and released by US group Latin Expression; Followed by his participation with San Francisco’s own Pacific Mambo Orchestra 2012 album and Costa Rican, Ramses Araya’s Timbaleo new release, “Exitos De Joan Sebastian”, in 2013.

Besides working as a musician, Carlos Cascante has worked as a vocal tutor for Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle WA, and a vocal instructor for the Yakima Community College for the past few years.

Carlos Cascante has been an active member of Spanish Harlem Orchestra since 2011 and had the privilege of recording on their album “Viva La Tradiciòn.”

Even though Carlos Cascante has played with and next to several well-known Latin artists, he is regarded as one of the new and upcoming talents.
